Tanakin: Jedi Master

Tanner LOVES Star Wars! For my birthday, he got me one of those musical birthday cards that plays the Star Wars theme. He wants to be Luke Skywalker for Halloween. He wants to have a Star Wars birthday party when he turns 4 in December. He could watch every single Star Wars episode from morning 'til night(if we let him...we don't). When he's not trying to get us to watch Star Wars, he wants us to read him Star Wars books. We now own 2, and we have another on loan from the library. He's slightly obsessed. A few weeks ago, Barry took him to see Star Wars: Clone Wars. We also recently purchased a Jedi lightsaber. We have yet to purchase his Halloween costume, so he's improvising by using his Diego hooded towel as a Jedi cape. He would go everywhere dressed like this (if we let him...we don't, especially after today). Today, we went to the nursing home to visit my grandma, and the only way he would go with us was if he could go as Anakin: Jedi Master (Barry and I call him Tanakin, which we think is hilarious...he does not!) So, with hooded towel on and lightsaber secured on his pants Tanakin, Jackson and I visited the nursing home. There weren't many Star Wars fans there, and I think a few of the residents were a bit frightened by the little man walking around with his lightsaber drawn. Needless to say, I don't think I'll be taking him to the nursing home dressed like a Jedi master any time soon (well, except at Halloween!). I'll post a picture soon. Tanakin's cape had to go in the wash after the chocolate cake he was supposed to be eating never made it into his mouth.

Tanakin! LOL! You guys are hilarious...

Nathan is obsessed with all things Star Wars too, but he's at the age where he LOVES Legos. His room is covered in ships that he has built.
