I'm a slacker

I've been a little bit of a slacker on my blog lately. I have been sooooo busy! I've got class on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week, then Friday nights are spent watching the hometown football game. Barry spends his Friday nights coaching in a neighboring town. I'd go watch them, but it is just down right depressing, seriously! The first week they lost 56-6, the next week it was 62-0, then last week it was 72-0. Last week was the worst because at half, his team was losing 55-0 and it was pouring down rain. They could have called the game at half, but no they did not...they continued to play another humiliating second half! Do you see I'm not kidding when I say it's depressing! The quarterback initiated the play, then lined up on the defense! This is why I choose to stay in my own hometown. Wednesdays are spent trying to finish homework at the last minute (like right now I should be finishing up a paper due in 20 min. hello! slacker!), Saturdays are spent with my boys watching some good Missouri Tiger football and Sundays are spent going to church and praying the Chiefs don't embarrass themselves as bad as they did last week! As you can tell, the only day left for me to do nothing is Monday. I don't do anything on Monday evenings because after the day I've usually had at work, I need to recoup, so I can finish out the week. Spend one day at my job, and you would understand!! The boys are loving daycare. Thank you, Lord! Tanner is doing great in preschool. His favorite is show and tell. We struggle trying to find things for him to take because he always wants to take his lightsaber. Today, I convinced him to take his Star Wars stickers, so that he could also learn to share. He loved this idea! Jackson loves to read! He's always grabbing books off the shelf to read. He brings them to me, says "read, please", and before I can answer he plops down into my lap. It's hilarious! He barely lets me get through the first story before it's on to another one. He now takes the books to bed with him. I think he wants to learn to read by osmosis! For the past year, I've been praying over my boys each night while holding Tanner's hand. Now, Jackson reaches through the crib to grab my hand while I pray. It is the sweetest thing ever!!!
I will end on that note. I have a few more things to post about, but they're going to have to wait until tomorrow.

I feel your pain. I spend so much time reading everyone else's blogs, that I never have time to post myself! LOL!

I love the story about the reading.
