I've been so bummed about the illnesses and conditions of some sweet little babies. I've been reading about Stellan and Gavin and Bella and Kellsey and Noah and the list goes on and on. In September, my best friend's daughter was born with down syndrome. It has been and will be a tough journey. There will be many doctors visits and who knows how many surgeries. I know they are up for the challenge, but it was not one they asked for. Another friend's daughter was in the hospital for almost 2 weeks before finally being diagnosed with a rare hypoglycemic disorder. In December, when Jackson was in the hospital for an asthma attack, I was scared. I turned to the only thing I knew to help me with my fear...my faith in God and the power of prayer. God is there. He is ALWAYS there. Even when it seems like he is not. I know He is. This week, He proved once again this truth. His Truth.
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and he saves those crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18
I went to do my Bible study this week and Psalm 34:18 was my memory verse. God is good!

I read about most of those kiddos too. It really reminds you to put things in perspective and hug your babies a little longer every day.
And good luck with the housecleaning. Think of it this way...if you would have cleaned last week to make it beautiful again, it would probably still be messy now anyway. I see it as being efficient with your time. :)
God IS good, even when are too weak to see it. When we read about so much suffering and pain in this world (especially when it's right on our doorstep), it's easy to question God and His plan for our lives. I just love your sweet spirit and desire to know His word!
