A Nice Write Up

The funeral was Wednesday, and it was the best celebration of life I have ever seen. Wednesday was also my grandma's birthday. It was the perfect day to say goodbye...for now.
Friday, the St. Joseph paper wrote a nice article about her. Here's the link for you to see, if you would like.
Thank you for all your sweet comments! I appreciate our bloggy friendship!

Busy Making Arrangements

I am busy with my grandmother's funeral arrangements this morning. She passed away early yesterday morning, and I am so sad! I take comfort in knowing she is now walking with Jesus. I'll write more when I have time, but for now I'm heading to the funeral home and flower shop.

Have a blessed day!

It is still snowing!

The view outside this morning!!!

Final Marathon Update and a couple of Boo Boos

Well, I did it! 27 miles! I wanted to make it to 30 miles, but I sort of banged up my knees while at the Tigers game yesterday. It's so embarrassing how it happened.

First of all, I think I'm going to start wearing a knee brace when I run. Near the end of my run, my knee has been starting to hurt. Anyway, yesterday because of the cold weather, my knees were stiff. They're doing a lot of construction at Arrowhead, so we had to walk clear around to the other side...I know, don't you think we should have gotten to ride a tram or something?! I digress.
We had really good seats, and we had to go down a lot of steps which did not help the knee situation. Once we finally made it to our seats, we stood the entire time. The first half of the game was slow, but the second half the Tigers came out to play!
I got so excited jumping around and hugging everyone, I flung myself onto the seat in front of me ramming my right knee. Not to leave the left one out, stupidly I did the same thing in the fourth quarter when they took the lead again (only this time it was the left knee)!

When we got home, my knees were hurting (no kidding!). I now have two huge knots (boo boos), one on each knee...and the Tigers still lost :(

Let it snow!

WooHoo! Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

It was a cold and wet day...

and we spent it watching our beloved Tigers battle it out against border rival Jayhawks! The Tigers lost by 3 in the final seconds of a very exciting game! Darn!
Here are a few pictures from the day!
